Still using the kit lens but better lens and a battery pack on the way ...

Today was seriously productive ...
Not only had I shot some nice portraiture of my girlfriend but also met a wonderful fly who actually stood there for about 3 minutes until I got tired of sticking my lens into her head and burst shots over and over again.
